Tuesday-Eagle Shining
Tuesday at Juno/Eagle brought high expectations following the big fish that showed up on Juno and Eagle last week.  6 teams had 5 fish, 3 had 4 and 3 had 3.  Eagle shined strong proving that the fish bite just fine in inclement weather on Eagle.  1st was father-son team of Mike and Leroy Krempec with 5 weighing 9.43, 2nd was another father-son team of Kevin and Michael Fletcher with 5 weighing 9.39, 3rd was last week's winning team of Gary Sill and Bob Bruni with almost a carbon copy of last weeks sack with 5 weighing 9.28, and 4th was Dunfee and Eggleston with 5 weighing 8.42.  Big bass was a 3.63 pound largemouth caught by Cal Culp and Louie Quarindillo.  Next week is Cory.

Tough Bite on Diamond
Thursday's event on Diamond was a tough one with just 23 fish brought to the scales.  In the end, it was Halsey and Freshour with 4 fish weighing 6.41 with the victory.  2nd was Balardinella and Minix with 5 weighing 6.09, 3rd was Grove and Stankovich with 3 weighing 5.73, and 4th was Hursh and Buss with 2 weighing 4.79.  Big bass was a 3.64 caught by Paulus and Sterling.  Next event is Magician.

2009 SCHEDULES POSTED
We have posted the 2009 Schedule.  Please see the schedules page for the lineup for this year.  Please remember that we may have to make changes due to permitting procedures.
A few tidbits for 2009:
All DNR permits have been secured as well as the Maggies permits.  I have been working with the various sites to secure our launch sites including the Dock at Eagle.

Classic dates look like they will fall on September 26 and 27.  More to follow on this later.

2008 DEKA CLASSIC on Skegemog/Torch big success!!!

The 2008 MWTS Classic sponsored by Deka Batteries was held on Torch/Skegemog on September 20 and 21st.  The fishing was fantastic and the hospitality from the motel and the marina were off the chart!  I cannot believe how much John at the Torch River Resort went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one.  Everything from grills to setting up the banners and weigh tables, thank you John.  If anyone is looking to have a club event in that area, please consider staying there.  You won't be sorry.  They have also provided me with a disc with pictures from the event.  While most everyone got Day 1, I believe that I got the only copy of Day 2.  If anyone wants a copy of the Day 2 pics, email me and I will get you taken care of.
Like I said, the fishing was fantastic.  I took 10 fish weighing 38.66 to win and we had 197 fish brought in weighing a total of 574.57 pounds with 5 teams bringing in 5+ pound fish and 2 more at 4.99!  I can't wait to go back.

2008 Classic Winners Kevin and Pablo

1st went to Kevin Fletcher and Pablo Gonzalez with 10 fish weighing 38.66 pounds, 2nd was Brian and Renee Hensley with 10 fish weighing 34.41 pounds, 3rd was Mark Coney and Rich Fletcher with 10 fish weighing 33.05 pounds, 4th went toRob Freshour and Ron Fabisak with 10 fish weighing 32.26, and 5th went to Chris Maynard and Steve Hurt with 10 fish weighing 31.10 pounds.  Big bass was a 5.59 pound smallmouth weighed by Maynard and Hurt.
